About you

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer with a minimum of five years’ experience to build an automated video highlight feature for our cycling app. You will own the entire creative rendering pipeline, combining 3D map visualisations, video composition, and dynamic animations to produce shareable social media content.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of mobile development and creative technology.

Your technical skills

• 5+ years React Native development experience
• Strong experience with video processing (FFmpeg, react-native-video)
• Hands-on experience with MapBox SDK (@rnmapbox/maps) or similar 3D map libraries
• Proficiency with animation libraries (Reanimated, Skia, Lottie)
• Understanding of video codecs, rendering pipelines, and export optimization
• Experience with 3D graphics in mobile apps
• Proficiency in TypeScript

Your soft skills and nice to have

• Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills
• Interest in cycling, fitness, or sports technology
• Experience with Three.js, OpenGL, or WebGL
• Background in motion graphics or video editing
• Familiarity with Street View or 3D terrain rendering
• Experience building social sharing features
• Has knowledge to Native App (Swift/Kotlin)

What you’ll do

• Build video rendering and composition engine in React Native
• Implement 3D map integrations and camera animations (flyover, POV, tracking)
• Create smooth transitions, overlays, and visual effects
• Develop avatar systems and HUD overlays on map views
• Optimize video export for social platforms (Instagram/TikTok)
• Ensure smooth performance across iOS and Android
• Collaborate with Design and Product teams on visual quality
• Lead technical decisions for the creative/video pipeline
